Sleep Rough Students 2020

Sleep Rough 2020 Sleep Rough 2020

On Friday night 31st of July a record 83 students from the Cooroy and Pomona campuses of the Noosa District State High School Interact Club along with the assistance of the Rotary Club of Cooroy, held the annual Sleep Rough event.  On a cold winter night, the students slept on cardboard at the Mimburi campus to raise money for Street Swags, an organisation to assist the homeless by providing swags or food assistance.  The high number of students also equated to a record fundraising kitty of $4899.95 being raised by the students.

Meeting weekly here in Cooroy with like-minded people, Rotarians have the expertise and contacts to make things happen. We are supporting local charities, helping to eradicate polio worldwide, we’re providing disaster relief, improving youth opportunities locally and globally, and having a great time doing so.
