In the following pages we will introduce the club to our viewers and invite you to visit us to see how Rotary works for our community, the community of Australia and the communities of the World.

Rotary International works in many areas of service.  The programs devised by Rotarians when they saw a need and acted upon it.

Rotary programs cover wide areas such as education, health, ( general health, Polio Plus, Mercy Ships, changing the lives of people via plastic surgery, finding equipment that can be recycles and sent to needy communities.  Shelter Boxes, Disaster Aid for people and countries devastated by natural disasters, Learn Grow, Low Cost Housing, and many more).  Several of these programs are Australian Rotary initiatives, such as the RYDA program for 11th Graders at our local high schools.  RYDA stands for Rotary Youth Driver Awareness program.  The Sunshine Coast Rotarians do this at the House with No Steps—giving the students an awareness of their responsibilities when they take to the road, newly licensed.  Our club embraces the the Rotary slogan “Making a Difference”, to someone else’s life.
