Rotary Youth Transition Seminar

RYTS Students

Rotary Youth Transition Seminar (RYTS) a week-long leadership camp for senior high school students to develop life skills, confidence, and independence for their transition into adulthood.

Hear all about it 6.00 pm Monday 02 February RSL Club Maple Street Cooroy - Lucy McDonagh from Noosa District State High School in Cooroy will be joined by leaders from RYTS to share her experiences at the seminar.

Drawing life’s hard lessons, Rotary developed a 7-day program that will prepare youngsters to plan their greatest adventure - life outside of school!

With a dedicated group of leaders who have been uniquely selected based on their varied life experiences and youthful wisdom, students will gain real life insights behind the idea of 'what I wish I knew when I was 17!

The seminar is jammed packed full of sessions, games, guest speakers, activities, and events designed to prepare youngsters with everything they need to know to survive in the real world.

We teach students how to budget, maintain a car, connect with and influence people, eat well, exercise, challenge themselves, build strong relationships and so much more!

We teach the youngsters to maximise their newfound freedom, take control of their lives and create a better world for themselves and their loved ones.

Attendance FREE but to provide sufficient seating, please let Secretary David (secretary@cooroyrotary.org.au) if you are coming.

 Rotary Polio Eradication Project

 Polio Eradication Project

The Polio Eradication campaign, started by Nambour Rotarian Clem Renouf in 1978, has reduced infections by 99% so the task is not yet finished. This is the kind of work your support of our fundraising activities makes possible, reaching children in areas where health care is limited and the challenges are greatest.

 Rotary delegation in Pakistan

Rotary leaders recently visited Pakistan and met with government officials, who reaffirmed their commitment to polio eradication. The delegation included RI President Francesco Arezzo, Trustee Chair Holger Knaack, International PolioPlus Chair Michael K. McGovern, and aide to the president John de Giorgio. They were hosted by Aziz Memon, chair of the Pakistan PolioPlus Committee.
